Creating a Sacred Space
Creating Sacred Space in your Home, your office and even your car is Key to your well being and maintaining a Positive Mindset . The best news is that you need not be a master of design .. Or a Feng Shui expert to create a haven in the places you need it. Of course there are many websites online that can give you suggestions about placement of a room's contents.
To create a wonderful haven of Peace, Tranquility, and Calm, there are some elements of the earth around you that you need to include in your space..
Water is a wonderful element to complement your space. Water is our connection to the sea and the creatures that live there. Many of us spent some time in our youth exploring the shore of the ocean or a lake. You may add a simple fountain to your surroundings, there are many that come pre-designed and they are affordable. You may decide to buy a container and collect rocks of your own choosing and design a fountain of your own.
You can buy parts for your fountain at most home supply stores such as Home Depot or you can look on the internet. You will need a water tight container that is deep enough to house the fountain motor and once the fountain is on, tall enough so that the water does not splash out of the container onto furnishings or floor ..
The fun part of designing a fountain is collecting the contents for it You can use shells, rocks, crystals, statuary designed for fish tanks. There are many places you can look online to get ideas on how to design your own. You can create something to match the room you are placing it it in. Since 'Intent is Everything' in creating a nice healing space, by designing and building your own fountain, you are placing part of who you are into the room in which you put it. By making your own, you can also change parts of it to suit your mood or holidays or personal issues. If you decide you do not want a fountain, you can still simply place a large bowl of water on a table in the room. In the bowl you can place flowers that float or floating candles or rocks and crystals.
Clutter, get rid of all the extra 'stuff'. I am as guilty of this one as anyone, I am a saver, a finder, collector of 'stuff'. There are not enough hours in a day for most people to admire and work with all the 'stuff' they have collected through the years. When you create your sacred space, too much clutter can simply bog down the energy you are trying to create.
I know how special some things are, I recently lost my dad and have some of his personal items at different places in my house. At this point I simply cannot bear to part with them and that is perfectly fine for now
